October Tricks and Treats

I cannot begin to tell you how quickly October flew by! Here we are in November and I am only 2 weeks away from going back to work. That was the fastest 3 months of my life. A lot has happened these last few weeks so let me catch you up on all of our treats and a few tricks.

Grandma and Grandpa Lucas were here to visit this last week and we had such a great time. Codi loved hanging out with his Grandma all day long and taking naps with Grandpa. While they were here they got to see Calen play with Family Wagon, hang out with us at our Halloween party, and just see Codi in his every day awesomeness. It was so great to have them here...we miss them already.

We also had some more "Codi firsts" within the last few weeks. A REALLY exciting one was that Codi learned how to roll over from his tummy to his back!!!! He is such a big boy and this was so exciting for all of us! Here is a video of the tremendous occasion.

As you can see from the video, we are such proud parents. We also got to dress Codi up for his first Halloween. As you have probably heard mr say before, our little man can produce a rather large stink...Many friends and family members have called him the most smelly baby they have ever encountered. So, more than appropriately he was a skunk for his first Halloween! We had a party on Saturday so that everyone could get together and see the Codster all dressed up. I was Codi's flower (Bambi anyone?), Calen was a vampire, Katie was a fridge magnet, Elisha was an indian, Ashlyn was a day of the dead girl, Spencer was Truman, Rachel was a greek goddess, and Jaq and Kevin were awesome masked people. We had a great time eating yummy food and decorating Halloween cookies. We also attended PLNU's Fall Festival where Codi and his friend Savannah got their first pumpkin!

We had a month full of treats, but one big trick. My car broke down this week and it cost us an arm and a leg to fix it. Apparently I have horrible luck with cars. So now we have to decide what to do about the car situation. Yuck. But other than that we are doing pretty good. Keep us in your prayers about the car situation and as I go back to work in 2 weeks. I will be taking full advantage of my time with my handsome little man this next few weeks that is for sure! Hope all is well with you all as we begin to head into the crazy holiday season!

Love,

The Lucases

Oh yes...and a special bonus feature just for Uncle Spence. Spencer bought this for Codi a while ago and we finally got a chance to put him in this awesome Captain America costume!
